I believe that everyone deserves to feel at ease with food and at home in their body.
Hi, I’m Ingrid Currington.
I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with 20 years’ experience working across a range of healthcare settings.
I specialise in supporting adolescents and adults navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic gut symptoms, and pelvic pain.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and weight-inclusive.
As a dietitian, I see my role as a compassionate listener and guide – someone who helps you to make sense of your experiences around food and your body, and supports you in finding a place where eating feels nourishing, enjoyable, and free from fear or worry.
A holistic, mind-body approach to nutrition care.
Pelvic pain and chronic gut symptoms are shaped by a complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors.
Food and eating can play a powerful role in calming the nervous system, reducing distress, and supporting recovery.
For the past eight years, I’ve worked as a senior dietitian in the interdisciplinary Persistent Pelvic Pain Clinic at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.
This role has given me the privilege of supporting hundreds of individuals living with complex and overlapping pain conditions.
I bring this clinical experience – and the insights gained from working within a multidisciplinary team – into every consultation.
I have undertaken extensive additional training in eating disorders, body image work, Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBIs), and the science of pelvic pain and chronic pain conditions.
I understand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel to be in conflict with your body. My mission is to help you build a more peaceful relationship with food and your body.
